Norma Jean Greer became the bride of William Kyle Frost, Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Shepherd’s Lighthouse.

The Rev. Jerry Wagoner officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of the late James and Nadine Greer. The bride attended East Wilkes High School.

The groom is the son of Betty Frost of Lenoir and the late James Frost. He attended Avery High School and Maryland Community College. He is employed by Suncrest Farms.

Given in marriage by her sister, Carolyn Smithey, the bride wore a long white satin gown, featuring a round neckline and elbow length lace sleeves. She carried a bouquet consisting of pink, purple and white flowers.

Michael Smithey was best man.

Bridesmaids were Carolyn Smithey, Patricia Severt of Wilkesboro, Lisa Byrd of Roaring River, Joanie Macemore of Jonesville, all sisters of the bride and Breanna Johnson, niece of the bride.

Breanna Carter, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Betty Wagoner was wedding director.

Angel Brown, niece of the bride, assisted with the photography.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the Cricket Clubhouse. The clubhouse was decorated with a pink and purple color scheme.

Guests were served pork barbecue, buffalo wings, baked beans and slaw. A chocolate cake with buttercream icing, decorated with “Mr. and Mrs. Frost” in purple, was also served.

After a wedding trip to the Fairfield Inn, in Elkin, the couple is residing in Wilkesboro.
