Edith Triplett Foster celebrated her 90th birthday with family and friends at Cagney’s Kitchen on July 31.

Mrs. Foster, a resident of the Maple Springs community in western Wilkes County, was married to the late Waldon “Walt” Foster. Their son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Cathy Foster, were hosts for the event.

A life-long member of Lewis Fork Baptist Church, Mrs. Foster served on various committees, taught Sunday school and Bible school and sang in the choir. She was an active member of the Wilkes County Extension Homemakers Clubs for more than 50 years.

She enjoys visiting with friends and spending time with her two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
