TAKE NOTICE that, under and by virtue of an order of the District Court of Wilkes County, North Carolina, made and entered in the above captioned matter, the undersigned Commissioner will on the 17th day of September, 2019, offer for sale and sell for cash, to the last and highest bidder at public auction, at the door of the Wilkes County Courthouse, 500 Courthouse Drive, Wilkesboro, North Carolina, at 10:00 A.M., the following described real property, lying and being in Reddies River Township, Wilkes County, North Carolina, and being more particularly described in the Exhibit “A” attached hereto.
A certain tract or parcel of land containing 3.59 Acres lying in Reddies River Township, Wilkes County, N.C. and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning on a ½” pipe found in place, said pipe being the Northwest corner of Bk. 254, Pg. 278, thence South 76 degrees 37 minutes 11 seconds East 306.42 feet to a 1” pipe found in place, thence South 03 degrees 55 minutes 00 seconds West 548.32 feet to a P.K. nail in SR 1322 (Prospect Drive), thence with said road the next seven (7) calls and distances North 58 degrees 30 minutes 50 seconds West 66.70 feet to a point, thence North 60 degrees 17 minutes 38 seconds West 25.65 feet to a point, thence North 63 degrees 37 minutes 32 seconds West 31.58 feet to a point, thence North 68 degrees 29 minutes 53 seconds West 26.83 feet to a point, thence North 75 degrees 38 minutes 48 seconds West 62.35 feet to a point, thence North 80 degrees 57 minutes 17 seconds West 47.45 feet to a point, thence North 85 degrees 01 minute 27 seconds West 56.69 feet to a point, thence leaving said road North 03 degrees 55 minutes 00 seconds East passing through a 1-1/4” pipe found in place at 320.85 feet a total distance of 519.91 feet to the point of Beginning. Subject to all service and utility easements of record, N.C. Highway Commission easements and rights of way of record, and all matters revealed by a current and accurate survey.
BEING the same property as conveyed by Robert N. Hatfield and wife, Anna E. Hatfield, to William Roger Pilkenton, by deed dated April 21, 2009, and recorded in Deed Book 1091, Page 213, Wilkes County Registry. William Roger Pilkenton died intestate in Wilkes County on May 2, 2014.
This sale will be made subject to all outstanding city and county property taxes, if applicable, and all local improvement assessments, if applicable, against the above described real property not included in the judgment in this action.
A deposit of five percent (5%) of the successful bid will be required.
