The Wilkesboro Police Department is investigating the thefts a 2016 Ford Mustang and a trailer in separate incidents.

Lukas Blake Thomson, 40, of Brinegar Road, North Wilkesboro, reported to Officer M.J. Osborne that he left his car near the southern edge of the Blimpie’s parking lot on U.S. 421 on the evening of July 29 when he had a flat tire. Thomson told the officer that his car, valued at $20,000, was gone when he returned for it Monday. He said he left his FOB key in the car. Osborne said a spokesman for Blimpie’s stated that the business didn’t have the vehicle towed.

Micheal William Holbrook of Summit Road, Wilkesboro, reported on Monday to Officer B.D. Dancy that his 2008 Hurst trailer, valued at $1,500, was stolen from behind his business at 104 Cherry Street, Wilkesboro. Holbrook said he parked the trailer there on July 26.
