Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist announced the expansion of free, mass COVID-19 PCR testing at Lowe’s Park at River’s Edge in Wilkesboro and two other locations to include Saturdays, starting Jan. 29

Saturdays hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Testing is still available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday at all three sites. Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is co-hosting the testing sites in Wilkesboro, Winston-Salem and High Point with the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services.

The testing is available to anyone age 2 or older, with or without symptoms. There is no cost, no insurance information is collected and those wishing to be tested don’t need to be Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist patients, stated a press release.

Appointments are not required but are recommended to save time at a testing site, the release said. Appointments can be made by visiting https://lhi.care/covidtesting or by calling 877-562-4850. Testing at the Wilkesboro and Winston-Salem sites is drive-through, allowing people to remain in their vehicle.

The Wilkesboro site is provided in partnership with the Town of Wilkesboro and the Wilkes County Health Department.
