It’s an Easter season unlike any before, with many Wilkes County churches conducting Easter Sunday services via the internet due to the coronavirus pandemic.

At least two local churches are providing combination “parking lot” and streaming services, with the pastor delivering a sermon in person to people sitting in their cars in the church parking lot.

Calvary Baptist Church off Pads Road, North Wilkesboro, will hold a parking-lot service that will also be streamed on Facebook Live at 11 a.m., led by the Rev. Mark J. Hall.

Goshen Baptist Church off N.C. 268 West, Wilkesboro, will hold a parking-lot service that will also be streamed on Facebook Live at 11 a.m., led by the Rev. Brian Miller.

Streaming services

Wilkesboro United Methodist Church will live stream its service at 11 a.m. on Facebook Live. The Rev. Karen Roberts will deliver the sermon and Dr. Jim Brooks will lead the singing.

Cornerstone Church of Wilkesboro will live stream its service at 10 a.m. on Facebook Live. Pastor Mark Workman will give the sermon.

North Wilkesboro Church of God of Prophecy will live stream its service on Facebook Live starting at 10:20 a.m. with Brother Matthew Key, followed by the Sunday morning message “Palm Sunday Blessing” at 11 a.m. with Pastor Onnie Langley.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Wilkesboro will live stream its service at 10 a.m. on Facebook Live with Father Steve Sedgwick.

North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church will live stream its service at 10 a.m. on its website nwpres.org. The sermon title is “Go…”

Wilkesboro Baptist Church will live stream at 11 a.m. on Facebook Live and on radio station WWWC. Dr. Chris Hefner’s sermon will be on John 20, “Jesus Risen.” Songs will be “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today,” “Because He Lives” with “O How He Loves You and Me” and “Crown Him with Many Crowns.”

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church will live stream its service at 9:40 a.m. at mpbc.live, and will repeat the stream at 7 p.m.

Baptist Home Church will live stream its service at 10 a.m. on its YouTube channel.

Welcome Home Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro will live stream its service at 11 a.m. on Facebook Live and its YouTube channel.

Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in West End Elkin will live stream its service at 10:45 a.m. on its YouTube channel and at phbcelkin.media.

Millers Creek Baptist Church will live stream its service at 11 a.m. on its YouTube channel.

Celebration Church in North Wilkesboro will live stream its service at 10:15 a.m. on Facebook Live, its YouTube channel and website celebrationlive.org/live.

First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro will live stream its service at 11 a.m. on its YouTube channel with the Rev. Dr. Bert Young.

First United Methodist Church of North Wilkesboro will stream its service at 11 a.m. on Facebook Live with the Rev. Tim Roberts.

Unified City Church of North Wilkesboro will stream its service at 10 a.m. on Facebook Live and its YouTube channel with Pastor Dan Kiestler.

Fishing Creek Arbor Baptist Church will stream its service at 11 a.m. on the church’s subsplash.com page, led by the Rev. David Wellborn.

Oakwoods Baptist Church will stream its service starting at 10 a.m. (Sunday School), with 11 a.m. worship on Facebook Live and Spectrum Ch. 191.

Crossfire United Methodist Church will stream its service starting at 10:45 a.m. on Facebook Live and Zoom (send request to zoomcrossfire@gmail.com).

St. John Baptiste de la Salle Catholic Church will stream mass and liturgies at 10 a.m. on the Diocese of Charlotte’s YouTube channel, led by Bishop Peter J. Jugis from St. Patrick Cathedral in Charlotte.

Fairplains Baptist Church will stream its service at 11 a.m. on Facebook Live, including worship and a message from the Rev. David Dyer.
