Mountain Valley 1A/2A All-Conference honors nearly 50

There were nearly 50 athletes honored as the Mountain Valley 1A/2A Athletic Conference announced its All-Conference lists this week.

Starmount swept the top honors, including coach of the year, offensive player of the year and defensive player of the year.

Wilkes Central had 13 athletes make the first team. West Wilkes had five make the first team. East Wilkes’ athletes earned eight spots on the team.

Wilkes Central had six players tabbed for the honorable mention.

Five West Wilkes players made the honorable mention.

East had five on the honorable mention. North Wilkes had seven players make honorable mention.

Ensure safety in bathrooms

As far as I know I have never met a transgendered person, and I harbor no hate toward any of their number, but I sure do hate what is being done to the civility and safety of our society to protect their supposed rights.
